I was appauld with the work going on at the hotel at this time/ I could not rrelax before dinner with the noise. I could not understand why the hotel did not say that there was renovations taking place when we booked.
Good breakfast. Perfect location
The horde of young people doing a lot of noise (shouting and laughing) in the lobby until late in the night.
The hotel is a great place to sleep at Barcelona. The room was clean and modern, the bathroom was excellent and the sound proof windown are a great thing for the city. The location is perfect-only five minutes walk from Catalunia plaza. The breakfast was very good as well. Would deffinetly return next time we come to Barcelona
the staff, the location, specially the breakfast
Location was great
AC sounded sick and room needed cleaning
Location was great, ideal for a short stay to maximise your time.
I was fine with no windows you could see out for a short trip but I would not wabt to have to stay for longer than 2/3nights
Location is very good close to Las Rambles and only a few blocks north of the Gothic Center. Parking is located fairly close about 200 meters away at Catalunya Place. Rooms are spacious but views are very limited and room to room and hallways can be bad.
Noisy. Not from street noise but room to room noise and noise from hallways can very very bad. Had to move to another room which helped.
Location is perfect – close to main attractions – Cathedral, Ramblas, Waterfront, Old City and Metro station. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to Gaudi’s buildings and about 40 minutes to Sagrada Family. A bus from Airport stops at Placa Catalunya so one can just walk to the hotel. Room is comfortable, a kettle is helpful. They provided dry gluten free breakfast for me – corn flakes, toasts and cookies so I would recommend it for fellow celiacs.
The hotel is located on a big noisy street. When I booked I asked for a quiet room and we were provided with a room on a fifth floor, but windows were facing the street and it was quite noisy during the night so we were not able to sleep. Next day we asked to change our room and moved into one with windows in the back. The room seemed a bit smaller and darker but it was perfectly quiet. Since we didn’t spend much time in the room we were fine with it.
The hotel staff are helpful and the room is clean. I recommend ppl who would like to seek a budget hotel near the central shopping area choose Altantis.
I would still stay here next time in Barcelona.
Walking distance to Universitat and Catalunya metro. Very close to Plaza Catalunya and La Ramblas. Breakfast included the price and was good.
Room was cold and necessary 5-10 minutes to heat.
the locality close to ramblas excellent tapas restaurant on ramblas called mickys
staff with sour lemon faces
We had an interior room which had no view but more importantly, was free of traffic noise. The breakfast was very comprehensive...only porridge was missing. Really convenient location and free wi-fi made it the right choice.
The dining area is a bit cramped mainly because of the silly choice of chairs which will not push under the tables and take up far too much space. It would be nice to have Cappuccino available at breakfast time.
Very central in the city and within a short walking distance to everything.
Breakfast very poor standard. Tinned fruits in a country known for it's fresh fruit. Croissants tough and cooked foods unpleasant.
I liked the location of the hotel, the room and the breakfast. The price is very good.
The fact that you can't check in before noon makes uncomfortable if you want to shower or rest in your room. However, the staff will let you leave your luggage there so you can walk around without them.
